Terms

Updated October 8, 2026

Rally helps tennis players in New York City find someone to play with. By using Rally you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

Who can use Rally

You must be 18 or older. Use your real first name, your own mobile number and an honest level. One account per person.

Courts are not ours

Rally doesn’t own, run or book courts. Courts belong to NYC Parks, other public agencies and private clubs, and their rules apply: permits, reservations, time limits and fees. Hosts who mark a match “Court booked” are responsible for actually having that booking. Rally is not affiliated with NYC Parks.

Playing with people you meet here

  • Show up on time, or cancel in the app as early as you can.
  • Be respectful on and off the court. No harassment, discrimination or unwanted contact.
  • Only use a partner’s number to arrange your match.
  • Don’t use Rally to advertise or sell anything, including lessons.

We don’t run background checks. Meet at the courts, tell someone where you’re going, and report anyone who makes you uncomfortable from the match page. We may remove accounts that break these terms, get repeated no-show reports, or put others at risk.

Fees and refunds

Joining a match where the court is already booked may cost a small fee, shown on the button before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe. You get the fee back if the host cancels, if you leave 24 hours or more before the start, or if the spot is taken while you’re paying. If you leave later than that, or don’t show up, it isn’t refunded. Walk-up matches are free.

Texts

When texts are on, giving Rally your mobile number means you agree to get texts about your own matches: sign-in codes, joins, cancellations, reminders, check-ins, and alerts you set up. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. The privacy page says what we send and when.

Tennis is a sport

You play at your own risk. You’re responsible for your own health, gear and conduct. Rally isn’t responsible for injuries, property loss or anything that happens between players.

The legal part

Rally is provided as is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, Rally’s total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and disputes go to the state or federal courts in New York County. We may update these terms; if a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app before it applies.
